Description:

Designed for kids ages 3-5, the mini kick is the quality choice in children's scooters. The mini kick won the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold and the Platinum Award Seals for Best Toy in 2009. The mini also was named 'Best Pre-School Scooter' by Toy Report and 'Best Outdoor Toy' by Learning Express Stores. What makes the mini unique is its quality construction and its 'lean-and-steer' design, which allows children to use their body weight to control the steering, giving them the feeling of 'surfing' the sidewalk, as they curve from right to left, almost like a skateboard. The lean-and-steer adds an element of fun and control that young children love. The mini's 3 wheels provide greater stability, making it easier for even the youngest kids to learn to ride. Great for their balance and coordination. The wheels are Italian-made of highest quality PU, especially for micro. They provide a smooth glide, making the mini almost effortless to ride. The wheels also make for a quiet ride, a joy for parents and children alike. The mini can be ridden inside, as well as outside, because the polyurethane wheels won't leave black marks on the floor. The deck of the mini is low-to-the-ground and large enough for both feet, making it easy for young children to hop on and off and to switch from pushing, to just enjoying the ride. The 'spoon' brake at the back adds additional control - kids like the control and also because it looks just like the big kids' scooters. For parents, the mini's light weight (only 3.3lbs), means it's easy to pick up and carry when need be, and makes it easier for the kids themselves to pick up and maneuver. Note: - the mini can hold weights up to 60lbs, when used for cruising, but is not designed for jumps or tricks. 3Great concept, but Ages 3-5??Aug 31, 2010
I bought this because of all the over the top reviews and the stability of 3 wheels just made sense.

However after 4 outings so far, my 4 year old still cannot keep it in a straight line for more than 10 feet. Perhaps it is the "instructor's" fault, but I am a little disappointed so far. She gets frustrated and I wind up having to carry it back.

My 5 year old has zero interest in even trying it a 2nd time. The 16" bike with training wheels works much better for him.

4great beginner scooterAug 17, 2010
i purchased this for my 3 year old grandson, and he loves it. it is just right for him at his age, as far as his coordination is concerned.

5WORTH THE MONEY, BUY THIS SCOOTER!!!Aug 06, 2010
I bought this for my son's 4th birthday and I wish that I had found it and purchased it much sooner. My 2.5 year old can't keep his hands off of it, so we are just going to buy one for him too, so they can each have one. It glides very smoothly, is very easy to use, very easy to steer. They love it!! My neighbor has the Radio Flyer scooter but this one is much better. The Radio Flyer stops moving as soon as you stop kicking. What fun is that? Who wants to have to kick the whole time? The fun is the ride you get from kicking. I say the Radio Flyer is LAME and much prefer this one.

It is high quality and well worth the money. I am very happy I purchased it (and like I said, am going to purchase another).

5Whaddaya know? The thing works as advertised!Aug 04, 2010
To be perfectly honest, when I pulled this scooter out of the box, I was underwhelmed. I was expecting something more substantial, something less plastic. I mean, it won all these awards and has all these five-star reviews...it has to be built to military specs, right? There was a lot of flex in the deck, and the steering system looked as if it would fall apart in the first five minutes. But guess what: I was wrong. This scooter is awesome. My 3-year old loves it. He jumped on that thing and within a couple of days he was bombing around the culdesac with the bigger boys on their Razors. They also love it. (One of them hit a few small jumps with it, and although the asphalt scraped up the bottom of the scooter, it held up like a champ. Maybe it's so resilient because it's so flexible.) It's much more stable (and fun) than the neighbor's one-wheel-in-front/two-in-back tri-scooter that he'd been riding (and falling off of).

The scooter comes in two pieces; the only assembly required is to snap the steering stem into the socket on the deck. It's rock solid. The brake, however, is made of a flimsy piece of plastic over a thin piece of metal that looks like it won't last more than a couple of weeks. We'll see.

So, yeah. I'm very happy. But more importantly, my son is happy. Can't put a price on that!

5great scooter!Jul 17, 2010
My son is 3 and he loves this toy a lot! In 3 days of practice, he can ride it perfectly. It was easy to assamble. The only thing I do not like is that the handle does not ajast for higher hight. It means I will need to buy another one after this one will become too low, but other than that it is so great toy, and I am really happy with my purchase.
